Courtyard Fayetteville participates in Earth Hour

The Courtyard by Marriott in Fayetteville announced today that they will turn off all non-essential hotel lighting in collaboration with EARTH HOUR and has encouraged their employees to do the same at home.

Earth Hour, which will take place Saturday, March 27 at 8:30pm, is an event in which millions of Americans will urn out their lights for one hour in support of actions on climate change; the Courtyard joins the growing list of supporting businesses that are committing to take a stand by turning the lights out on pollution and creating a cleaner, safer and more secure future.

"As leaders in the hospitality and business community, as well as being a local leader in green business practices, we feel it is our social responsibility to do what we can to reduce our carbon footprint. Earth Hour is a great way to show our community and guests that we are committed to doing our part; we are encouraging all our management companies' hotels and associates to participate as well," said TJ Angeleno, General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott, Fayetteville and Sustainability Coordinator for Vista Host properties.
