It IS Easy Being Green!

Thank you to the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and it's GreeNWAy Committee for forming a program that focuses on sustainable business practices within the city. The Courtyard by Marriott is one of four pilot businesses for the program and held its Green Ribbon Cutting and Reception yesterday afternoon.

A special thanks to the University of Arkansas SIFE students for all your help in making this program successful! Without your research, educational elements and business audits, this would not be possible.

Spring Cleaning!

Do you find yourself looking around, needing to do a little spring cleaning but have electronics that you just don't know what to do with... everyday electronics, cell phones and old computers and TVs... you don't want to trash them but don't have room for them either.

Now here's a solution.

ARVEST Ballpark is hosting a free electronic recycling event this weekend. On Thursday, businesses, schools and nonprofits can bring their old electronics from noon to 6:00pm (just bring a list of your items on business letterhead). Residents can participate too by bringing items from noon to 6:00pm on Friday and from 9:00am to noon on Saturday. Click HERE for more info.

Thank you ARVEST Ballpark for providing a FREE, safe, and environmentally friendly option to recycle!

Arkansas.com Hot Deals!

Some might view Arkansas as the place where Paris Hilton filmed the Simple Life... however, most of Arkansas' treasures are not widely publicized - - such as home to Wal-Mart and Tyson Foods or the Clinton Library and U of A Razorbacks.

Thanks to the Arkansas Parks and Tourism Department, times are changing. In addition to their many websites publicizing the many reasons why you should visit Arkansas, they have added a Hot Deals and are the FIRST STATE to launch a deals/coupon i-Phone app.

You can now download the free app on their website www.arkansas.com/hotdeals/ and stay up to date with all deals in the Natural State. Check out the Courtyard's Baseball Package and the Fayetteville Visitor's Center coupon!

Also, keep your eyes peeled for the new QR Codes on all Arkansas.com advertisements... Another Arkansas First!
