Hotel of the Year Celebration!

The Courtyard by Marriott in Fayetteville celebrated the achievements of its staff today in winning two prestigious awards: Marriott Courtyard Hotel of the Year and the Chairman's Award for Overall Guest Service & Satisfaction.

In honor of these achievements, Mayor Lioneld Jordan
presented the hotel with a Key to the City and proclaimed July 15, 2010 as
"Fayetteville Courtyard by Marriott Day"

Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce President Steve Clark further presented the hotel and its staff with a Chamber Board of Directors Resolution

We are extremely honored and humbled to be recognized with these awards, especially coming from the world’s lodging leader, Marriott,” says T.J. There are plenty of things to do this summer in Fayetteville!
One unique, family fun activity is the 112 Drive In Theatre. Arkansas was once the home of over 60 Drive In Theatres - - now Fayetteville is home to one of three throughout the state.

The 112 Drive In Theatre is open Thursday - Sunday and

How Fayetteville Celebrates July 4th!

Northwest Arkansas has plenty of events during the July 4th Holiday Weekend to help you celebrate the 234th Anniversary of America's Independence.
(Did you know that 2010 is the 50th Anniversary of the 50 Star American Flag?)

Here's a list of events in the Fayetteville/Northwest Arkansas area:
FRIDAY, JULY 2ND

Beaver Lake -- Rocky Branch Marina at dusk
Farmington -- Farmington Football Stadium at dark -- other festivities start at 4:00pm
Fayetteville -- Walton Arts Center on Dickson Street at dark
Rogers -- Veteran's Park after dark about 9:30pm -- other festivities will start about 6:30pm with music and free watermelon
Springdale -- Arvest Ballpark after the Northwest Arkansas Naturals baseball game (July 2, 3 & 4) -- The games start at 6:00pm on Friday & Saturday and 7:00pm on Sunday
